Dairy cattle do better in drier, warmer climates so as long as you get low cost forage for them, you can make $ at it.

Remember when the Olympics were in China? The factories were shut down (for a month or so) so the air pollution would "go away" and allow the TV cameras to show a squeaky clean country? Otherwise, the smog is so bad they can't go out and breath the air without masks (which aren't good enough anyway). Hypocrites!!!

Same here. Entire industrial parks being built on some of the best farmland around.

Whatever happened to that big TV production factory that was going to go up in your SE WI area, that got all sorts of govm't $? Did it get built?

No. The solar farms feed the grid. The factories use power from the grid. There are some huge solar farms going up in Indiana, something I never expected, especially northwest Indiana, with it's permacloud from Lake Michigan.

I think it's ridiculous to sell farmland off to foreign investors; I don't care if they're Canadian or Chinese, though I repeat myself.

I just came back from a weekend in/around Chicago. No "vapor collecting" gas station hoses connections there, that I saw...
