Not totally a bad idea, but it does get easier with lots of practice. How about using a backup camera system instead ?

I have actually thought about this for the back end. I am new to this but 99% of my land is uneven, I mean REALLY uneven as in hills slopes and cliffs. Only have 3 hours on my tractor but my chest hurts from this weekend. I drove for those 3 hours twisted at the chest looking behind at my box blade when I was using the teeth to break up my solid clay soil. I spent more time looking at the teeth with one hand on the adjuster and one on the wheel than looking forward. I'd be breaking up at a good clip then BAM! the grade would go up and it felt like I reached the end of a chain when the teeth dug in and anchored the tractor. This was not once every few minutes but every few feet so I gave up and looked backwards the entire time. Lifting and lowering the box blade constantly.

I doubt mirrors would work in bumpy terrain but I also doubt I could see a monitor in the sunlight.
