Old jeep cj models had the left and right mirrors different and the RH one looks through the windshield.

For some unknown reason my 1949 CJ2A didn't have mirrors or a windshield :

wow this thread has deteriated into a cj forum issue. LOL I have an 84 and yes it has 2 different mirrors. great minds appear to think alike. who would have guessed that cj's and toolcats would have things in common.
my mirrors are set back already. I do some close cutting work and its just a PIA to get out and readjust when you hit something and they fold back. at least im not breaking them so there is something positive to take out of the deal. you see remote adjust on some farm tractors with cabs. im sure it can be done, was just hoping someone here had done the engineering work for me. will keep digging and advise when I get it accomplished.

Well my CUT has mirrors but I really like my backup camera display installation that is mounted front and center under my windshield.
I placed the camera high up under my 3 inch rear roof overhang so that it never gets obstructed by snow.
While not accurate the built in 'guide lines' still give me a reasonable reference.
AND, no sore neck.
I use mainly for snow blowing duties.

now I am looking into a rear camera to put on the Toolcat, the mirror on the left side does not cut it, only way it works is stick it out further or move it forward over the fender.

anyone got a video setup? did you mount the camera inside the rear glass or on the back of the cab and how did you run the wiring

thanks for any ideas

You'd be slumming with mirrors on a Cat. High resolution color display and multiple cameras are the way to go.

wow I thought I was lazy having to adjust the right side mirror every now and then. $500 worth of a/v equipment seems to be the "forsnizle"

Backup cameras can be had for less than $100 at Costco and other places. But yes, if you want name brand stuff or buy from a dealer you can easily spend $500 on a backup camera system just for the kit. There's obviously a difference in quality as well.
