Mismatched tires front and rear. Turf/R1

Hey fellow NTXan may I ask for a pic of your mixed tire setup on that smaller 4WD CUT? I have seen several tread patterns today and my brain is mixing things up now..... Thanks in advance.

Oops. Sorry for the delay in answering you. Have been busy with the holidays. I can get you a picture.....may take a day or two. Here's a picture that I took awhile back with the 33x12.5x16 Titan Turfs. I thought 4 ply Turfs would give me a softer ride but the sidewalls on these 4 ply tires were so stiff that I could let the air out and the tractor still sat like it had air in the tires. Wasted $700 considering cost of tires and 2 sets of used wheel weights which can you see here and they weren't much help....the seat is not OEM, that is an aftermarket, with different springs that were softer sprung than the OEMs, another attempt to get a soft ride with this machine. The bucket had a soft ride but was about 2" too narrow and was very uncomfortable. What it did do, and one reason for the bucket seat (MF used them back in the '60's....have one off an old MF 35) was that it helped to control the side motion of the tractor which is a problem on dry clay and clump sodded fields.

Originals were 12x16.5 6 ply R4s. Fronts are still the OEM R4s that came on it. They will stay.

1. OEM front Tiron brand 23x8.50x12 R4 4 ply which remained because it was right for the job....fat tire for it's size and low aspect ratio (maybe 50) which reduces squirming of the sidewall during loader operations. Runs fine on 30# of air.
2. Rear Carlisle 8-16 R1 6 ply and installation of 4 inch spacer shown in 4 and 5.....4x8" dia schedule 40 steel pipe, シ" steel plates on both sides. Added spacer for stability before I started diddling with tires. Selected 4" as that put the outside of my OEM R4s inside my 5' mower I use with this tractor.
3. OEM tire (12x16.5 R4 6 ply) sitting on top of 33x 12.5-16 showing OD identical. Turf required a new wheel diameter as there were no 16.5 tires available....had to go to 16x6 wheel.

The Carlisle R1 is 6 ply but typical to R1s, the sidewall is soft. Being narrow and soft, I can run 10# of air, maintain the tire to rim seal...which is hard to do on new, shiny, slick, painted wheels with tubeless tires and have a reasonably soft ride.
