Bad chiclet keyboard is one of the reasons the IBM PC jr was not a commercial success.
incredibly bad keyboard, never knew by feel if a key was pressed.
Brought to you by the company that made the best typewriters.
The broker I worked for in the 80s had an IBM Selectric with a parallel interface to connect to a PC. We used it to print form letters and other correspondence rather than print it on a dot matrix printer, looked more professional. The changeable balls with different typefaces was nice too. It was crazy how fast that ball could print.
