Missing plug?

Hey everyone...newbie owner of a 2000 Deere 410. As I was changing the oil, I notice I could see the inside of what I think is the transmission case. If the tractor is running, I can see it spinning. I'm thinking there should be a plug or something here and not open. Can anyone help? If you have a part #, that would be great.

I can't get a real good perspective of what I am looking at but I bet it is a drain hole and is not meant to be plugged.

I don't think it's a drain hole due to it's location. I thought it was the clutch housing.

I'll take a better look tonight and snap some more pics. I can't imagine those internal components should in contact with dirt and grime.

Maybe it's the engine flywheel timing hole????????

I think you might be right....right next to the engine. But should it be exposed?

So it's definitely that part I linked to above. The inside part that spins when the tractor is running has the #3 on it. I'm thinking a cap similar to 15 on that parts list might be the one though I cannot see on the other side of the housing in that pic....hmmm

So is it the hole that relates to #15 or #14

The hole I'm talking about is on the other side of the case and isn't even shown in the diagram. I took the plug out of 15 and it fits perfect so I may just order one of those. Plug #15 is for the flywheel. Anyone know what the hole on the other side is for?
