Living in base housing, we have renters insurance and yes, the tractor is covered. What I meant by "being fined" is in the past military personnel have been fined (ticketed) for cutting down a tree or changing the landscape in their base housing quarters. If the housing office knew that I was digging holes in the neighborhood (yes the woodline in the neighborhood counts), they could be butt-heads and levy a fine against me. Typically the cost to pay someone to repair the ground. It's a pretty big woodline though. The pics are coming !

Enjoy your long drive ? even with BX in high, it still takes a long time. I am sure you enjoyed the drive with such a nice weather and nothing to do but admire the scenery.

Yes sir I did. It was misty and hazy today here in central Missouri and it just seemed right getting some seat time with my stupid dog today. He loves it when I take him with me wherever I go, especially on the tractor. The BX was indeed in high gear topping out at about 7mph. Asked my youngest two sons to tail me and take a few pictures and it turned out nice.

You think these pics were cool you should see the base now. New PX (2006), New South Shoppette (2007) and brand new barracks that will house 3,000 more Soldiers when completed. Waynesville and St Robert are also booming in the housing/apartment industry. The MP school had new barracks completed in 2005 and it's a huge complex. They call them "star-ship" barracks. It's just crazy but in a good way.

Maybe one of these days I will get a chance to go TDY to FLW. I am now a GS'er working for the Air Force at Andrews AFB. Would love to go back to Germany to see Mainz and Aschaffenburg to see how they have changed also. Stay safe!

I was wrong to be on the street without the SMV sign and if one of those 18-year old MPs would have caught it I'd be out 50 bucks. There's a thread here somewhere (and pictures) about one of my stupid ideas of taking the bracket from the SMV sign and using it to mount a hidious looking mailbox to the ROPS and use it as a toolbox.

Just wanted to take one last ride on the base before trailering the tractor in preparation for our up coming move. The tree frog litterally jumped in the cab from the ditchline as I was ridin along. It felt like jello smushing up on me when it attached itself to my leg. Scared the crap out of me. I jumped and jerked in the seat and had it not been for the seat belt keeping me in place I'd be another roadside statistic.

Well FLW is a lot closer to Maryland than Mainz and Aschaffenburg is so you should come TDY here. Maybe you could teach our linguists a thing or two. Since leaving company command I now work with a gazillion GS folks in the MANSCEN building. They're a great group of people to work for and work with.
