Wow, what a great inspiration.

I just bought a nice MT280, also with loader, in great condition except for that it gradually got harder to start since this summer and now wont start at all despide new plugs. The valve clearance has been adjusted, injectors have been checked, and no cylinder had less than 300psi but still doesn't run. Seems to bleed at least a bit when losening the nuts on the injectors, but don't know if fuel can still be the issue.

Based on your experience, have any good input so far?

Haven't picked it up yet, but was a great price.

Regards
David from Sweden

Hi. I got also a MT2501D tractor, I changed the fuel filter and came across an issue. The tractor starts, it revs, but it has no power. I added diesel to the fuel filter bowl, bleed the pump by loosening the hose that feeds it, bleed the injectors one by one by loosening the fuel lines that connect to them. Noticed that the first cylinder, when the fuel line is off, makes no difference on the rev counts (the others do, the engine revs go down). Also, changed the diesel return lines, as they were quite old, a bit of air is in them. I believe the main issue is still air somewhere, but don't know where.. What should I do next?

Did you change the fuel bowl o-ring and the plastic fuel bowl?

The old plastic fuel bowl will have micro cracks. When the fuel pump pulls fuel, the cracks weep in AIR to the fuel system. This looses power greatly.
