Thanks! I figured I would start with the filter and cross my fingers that the pump is ok. I assume the pump is inside the fuel tank making it an expensive repair/replace.

No, the pump is mounted on the engine. You follow the fuel line from the filter/shutoff valve to the pump. The pump will have high pressure steel lines, one to each cylinder. The internals have machined parts with very close tolerances are repairable only by pros.
