Have a barrel filling constantly (or a half barrwl), and dipping an appropriate sized bucket is Far faster than hose filling each bucketI have the harbor freight mixer and over 1000 bags through it. I busted up all the concrete around my pool and poured all new. I also poured a generator slab that's 6'x8'. It has done the job and then some.
The easiest way is to have 2 people. One on water and one on concrete bags. Get a bucket and mark a line for ~1.5g of water per 80lb bag. One person fills water to that line every time. Pour water in, put bag on top of mixer, cut, flip bag, dump, 2 minutes mixing, pour, repeat. I got it to 3-5min per bag. I'd move bags, mix, pour, the other person would just fill water bucket, and dump.
That could well be true.I believe the dry mix they are discussing is the trend on YouTube of guys dumping quikcrete straight from the bags into form boards without mixing, and then soaking the surface with water to start the hydration process; not high early as used in concrete roadway repairs.

Tractor to lift the bags is pretty handy....The only thing I'd change on it is larger tires for easier rolling. Even with that, I was able to roll up and mix right over each footing. No shoveling required.
How do you convince the bags to crawl up and dump themselves in the mixer?
Let's not aggregate the issue. How do you convince the bags to crawl up and dump themselves in the mixer?![]()
