You are right, RickB; we are both old timers. I see you have a JD 730D. An early 1950's A was the largest two cylinder I experienced until I gave my younger brother (who still farms the family farm and looks after our mother) a restored 1936 JD D. I looked at some 7xx and 8xx series diesels, but found none near southwest Georgia in decent shape. Am I correct that the 720D or 730D was the most fuel efficient tractor up to that time in the Nebraska tests? I would love to see a picture of yours.
