MMM - Floating vs. Suspended

What's the difference between a floating MMM deck and a suspended MMM deck?

The suspended deck hangs off the tractor, and the wheels at the corner of the deck are just to help keep it from scalping. You can also adjust the cutting height from the seat. A floating deck is not really held up by the tractor, but actually rides on the wheels at the corner of the deck. This is also how you adjust the height of the cut, is by the wheels at the corner of the deck.

As far as I know, all the Kubota MMM decks for the BXes are suspended.

I would venture to say that 99.9% of all tractors today, including small L&G tractors have suspended decks.

I could swear in the literature that I got from the Kubota dealer it said the 60" mower deck was floating for the BX series tractors but the smaller ones were suspended. I'll have to look at it again.

I have a 60" deck on my BX2350 and its suspended, they all are for the BX. Some of the larger decks for the B and L series are floating.

I also remember that the 60 " deck has something in addition or different like self equalizing or leveling, but it is still suspended.

My mistake. Having reread the pamphlet it says "Self Balance". What exactly does that mean.
