I tried a 54" MMM on my 4100 last week and I learned to hate it real quick. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
The JD dealer installed it and managed to bend a hydraulic line 90 deg. to pinch it and cause it to leak. The deck apparently did not clear the line, not even close, and smashed it up against the bottom of the tractor. The line has a banjo fitting on one end so the dealer has to order a new one and replace it.
Adjustments are cumbersome at best and the plastic wheels are very poorly designed in fit and placement.
I told dealer I don't want it and want a BH finish mower instead. We have not yet worked out the $ on the swap. I know this will cost me as I made the decision to order the MMM in the first place but I guess I expected a little more for the $1600 price tag on the deck than what I got. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
