I have a 1620 ford with a 72 MMM.. never had an issue with HP.. I believe that is 25hp..

I pulled a rear mount 72" mower for years with 18 hp (16 pto). I never let the grass get high though. My current primary mower is a 72" diesel zero turn with 31hp, and it is practically unstoppable.
As far as mowing time difference between a 60" and 72" plan on a 20% difference.

Thanks. I am thinking the 72" ZTR would be faster but will it work better on slopes thana compact tractor

A ZTR will slide, a 4 wheel drive compact tractor will have better traction.

My 4wd b7200 will beat the crap out of my ZTR in steep banks and mud. The ZTR probably mows 50 percent faster in ideal conditions but I'd say that gap would be less if the tractor had equal hp and power steering. The ZTR has a lower center of gravity so in theory it would be a better slope mower but it slides off.

Some ZTR slide more than others I was just wondering if a 72 inch larger ZTR or would still slide

Can you cut tall grass"3 week summer growth"?

yeah, like this fall before the leaves start dropping I mowed the powerline easement so it will be easier to mulch up the leaves.. if its to long or to thick you may have to go back over it again if some is not cut cleanly if your looking for golf course finish, I'm a knock it down and move on to the next thing on the list guy..

My 72" ztr is only about 200 lbs heavier than my 60" ztr. Conditions vary, but by the time I start sliding I am on a grade that I would never take my tractor on. IMHO the biggest danger of a zero turn is going down a slope forward and having the drive (and brake) wheels slide. The correct way to mow a slope to steep for side to side is to drive up the slope, then back down. Full disclosure, by the time I have to consider driving up a slope and backing down, I use a walk behind mower.
