Oddly enough, none of the hoses broke at the fittings. The all broke in the middle.

I can buy the model 7 for $1500 and it would be only used occasionally around the farm. I just though it would be a nice addition to have around. I have the fabrication shop & skills but it may turn out to be more hassle than it's worth.

Thanks for the info.

That's a huge deal, assuming it's in decent shape! I'd buy it and put it on ebay. I paid a little over $4K for mine, lightly used. Does it come with tractor side brackets?

Well - if you decide to give it a go, I'd be happy to take some detailed pictures of my 7 hoe, the brackets and mount points, and how it attaches to the 855 and send them to you if it will help at all. But for pictures of the hoe you will need to wait until some of the snow melts off it.

I would buy that backhoe for that price. Especially with BigEddy's offer to send you the mounting details. I paid close to $6,000 for my 47 new. Make sure you mount it so it is not a hassle to put on and take off.

For a price like that, even if you had to pay someone else to flab. the sub-frame up, you would be money ahead to buy it.

Does the Model 7 manual show the hyd connections on tractor? Do you have two or three hoses to connect? thanks

There are two hoses, pressure and return. They plumb into the DSCV for the FEL. It's Deere's "Power Beyond" kit which I installed myself. The kit comes with three pipes but you only use two depending on whether or not you've got the DSCV.

It's basically pass through hydraulic flow. In fact, when the hoe isn't hooked up you have to connect the power beyond back to itself to complete the circuit.

The hoe manual doesn't show much on the tractor connections. That's covered in the tractor literature. Here's a picture from the Deere on-line parts catalog.

Hope this helps, if not ask more. I can take some photos too if you want /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Oops, just realized I linked to the 790 Power Beyond picture as that's what I've got. If you nose around the same area on the Deere parts site you'll find the Power Beyond for the 4310. Enter 4310 under "model search" then look under hydraulics. You may also find the hoe mounting brackets for the 4310/47 by looking at the 47 backhoe parts /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
