My father bought a Model 85 (unk year) at an auction the other day and now all of the hydraulics do not work. At the auction the tractor started fine and the loader and 3-point worked. He brought it home and noticed that the dipstick for the hydraulic fluid showed the tractor had very little fluid. He changed the fluid and said it took approximately one gallon of fluid to get it to where it was supposed to be on the dipstick. Well....nothing that runs off the hydraulics works now (ie - power steering;3-pt; FEL). He said after changing it the FEL went up and down once (jerking) when going up, and now it will not work at all. Any thoughts on what the problem could possibly be? Could it be air in the lines when the fluid was changed? Thanks.
