Modern equal to mythical Stihl 026 chainsaw?

Never ported mine, the muff mod was enough for my use. Stihl's all seem to have constrained muffs, even more so today that back then, but then so do Echo's. Not a clue about a Husky as I don't own any. I see them sitting at the local TSC all the time but have never even picked one up, Not interested. FYI, when I bought my 026, it came with the chain brake protector handle but wasn't attached to anything and had no brake at all. Just an ornament.
You sure your not talking about a 028? 5030 = I purchased both the 090 as well as the 075 at the same time I purchased the 028. Still use the 028 however and I've rebuilt it at least once, not I didn't 'mod' it, just replaced stuff like fuel and impulse hoses, fuel and oil filters and anti vibration mounts

First time ever seen you post to claim owning a 026.

I've owned both and my 028 was a super.

Not ever gonna happen, don't need anymore saws for one and two, working part time an an Echo dealer, I get my echo's at his cost. Curious, is there any diff between the TSC saws and a dealer sold saw? Sure look the same to me...
TSC doesn't sell the real deal pro saws. They sell one XP saw that and it's not that favored. May be different in SE MIchigan, not sure.
