New features! :)

When you take pictures, could I request you get a close-up of the 'spring-lever' as seen here:

Sure, which is the "spring lever" the black on the right, or the yellow on the left?

I think they added that yellow on a 45 degree angle to help with the "tippy" problem others have adressed here.

As I look in my feed chute, it has some additional pieces welded in, that put the axle of the feed roller behind them, I will grab some pictures, but I think that is what was described before.

The black lever on the right, thanks.

In addition to the 'kickstand', it looks like the chute extends farther than the basic model. With all the extra distance from the rollers, there's no way anybody is going to lose a hand or arm unless they dive in head first:eek:

If you go back to AlanB's post and open the attachment you can see the other side of this new model. I like the way the diconnect works out by the chute.

Yep, I saw that. It's got pretty good detail explaining how it works. Another good safety improvement.

Just bought mine a few weeks ago from Gorilla here in Puget Sound. Pretty fair pricing & no BS attitude! His price is going up on the next truckload (at least that's what he told me, maybe to get it sold). Heck, I was sold already!

These new Jinmas have a bunch of the mods talked about on this forum-already done. That "Kickstand" only partially addresses the problem & if you're on flat ground all is well. It is fully adjustable, BUT..I live in fear I'll hop on the tractor & drive away with it down, bending it or worse, tearing it off completely. I think I'll cut some 6" Channel & weld to the bottom of the box, extending it out back like another guy did with the treated 4X6.

Hey, what's not to like on these things. I have not yet done anything too heavy but it has digested eveything so far & you're right about that extended chute. You'd have to jump in pretty far to even get your arm close to the feed rollers. I'm 6'2" & I can't get close enuf to worry...Unless something snagged the sleeve & dragged you in. Another mod, tho: There's a "Belly Bar" around the back of the chute to stop everything if that happens! Check it out in the photos.

My $.02

Mike

There was mention here about a foot or pedal control for the feed roller...
Has anyone done that and have some pics of the arrangement ?

I seem to recall reading that in a different thread, however I don't recall seeing pictures.

I keep thinking of building a 'belly-bar' but then think a foot petal might be better.

If you find a good link, please copy it here. :)

Thanks,
