A question and an observation...

How does the chute on the snowblower get turned? I'm gonna take a guess and say the main PTO powers the blower and the AUX PTO knee lever powers the chute rotation direction, but just want to confirm.

I think your idea about using fabric to enclose the bottom is about the only way to go. There is a ton of flex in the unit when it articulates AND oscillates. I have the factory arm rests and they will rub the engine cover when I am in full articulation and oscillation.

You are correct MR, the AUX knee lever turns the chute. Since there are no stops on the chute, it does go around a complete 360, so you have to be careful or you can send it right back in your face. I have come close, but that is another good reason for the cab!

Good thing it is not a machine gun! :D

My cousin was working on an aircraft carrier that was supposed to have stops on a weapon that prevented it from turning towards the boat. It malfunctioned. They shot the doors off the side of the boat!

Thanks for the details. :)

Hey DC,
It has been a while since you posted on this thread and I wondered if you have done anymore with your cab, Like the heat project or finishing the back lower part

Hey DC, Have you done any more improvements to your cab? Added the heat like you were messing with or finished off the back by the seat?

Unfortunately, no. Last year was so mild and snow-less up here in NH that I hardly used my PT at all. I hope to work on it some this winter, especially closing in the back. Taking the heat off the engine was not reliable enough. I don't think I need the heat anyway, I'm not in it long enough. I'll post some pictures when I get it done.
