Modifying the L3301 up to an L3901

I致e heard that the only difference between the 2 models to get 5he extra 6hp is the way the fuel is delivered to the engine. Is this a tuning mod or injectors and intake type of mod?

From what I understand, the engine tuning is different which is handled by the ECU.

Sounds similar to what Massey Ferguson does with the 1734e and 1739e. The gearing is different in them because the 1739e develops its max horsepower at a higher RPM.

Tractors from big to small, 20hp to 600hp......new and old....

This isn't unique to the 3301 and 3901. Unless you have the sophisticated computer programming stuff the factory has....or want to spend alot of money on a 3901 ecu.....then you are stuck with what you have
