Would any of my TBN friends remember what the ratio of clorox to water is for removing mold on the side of the house. This is my Ct house on the north side that doesnt get much sun and I have some black mold that needs to be scrubbed and removed before I can restain.

I asked someone quite some time ago and for the life of me I cant remember.

I will be using Woodsman solid color oil stain, yep you got it same as the Vt house, barn red /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif For those curious /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks !

Not an expert myself, but the back of the TSP (tri-sodium phosphate) box lists a solution of:

1 cup TSP
1 quart Bleach
3 quarts warm water

to remove mold and mildew. This solution will dull glossy paint. The TSP acts as a surfactant/soap to remove the dirt and mildew. Consider getting some mildew inhibitor from a paint store (it mixes into the paint) to decrease further accumulation.

scott, get some Jomax. It's got the ratio of bleach, water and Jomax. Just spray it on and wait 10-15 minutes and rinse it off. Paint will look new. It will not dull like tsp.
