Are you suffering from lake-effect snow, looks like a lot on that shed roof. I only got around 6 inches last year, not even enough to keep rust off the plow.
For the past 30 years my wood-shed is down cellar where the wood-stove is, holds 7+cord, drys out as used and no mold that I noticed. The wood goes in wet around October, trees are cut down during winter time, sets outside tree length during summer.
I went for 100 mile ride the other day, what I noticed is in the last 100+ years, housing stile's have changed alot, I look at the old houses and what I see is like my older sisters house. First a big house, a long/big wood shed attached to the house, then attach to the big wood-shed, a big barn, no ventilation except for maybe on top of the barn roof between the lightning rods. Noways the wood shed is a mile from the house and no barn, but some nice house have a nice car garage. I guess most people prefer to keep their horse's under the hood like me.
