Tractor
Minneapolis-Moline, 445, 1959
Hi everybody.
I have a minnapolis-moline 445 tractor, year 1959. I have some problems with
the hydrulic system. I need information before I start to dissemble this machine. 1st, where can I get a good shop manual for this tractor and parts
suppliers. 2nd, the most pressing problem is I am getting hydrulic fluid into the
rear differnial housing. Now near as I can tell there is only 3 places this oil can
come from is the seal at the back of the pump where the pump drive shaft
comes out of the diff. housing, or the pressure seal at the housing or the oil
intake at the housing to the pump. HELP!!! Sure would like someone to give me thier opnion on this.
Thanks.

Hello Moline Mike - the last Moline I was aquainted with was a G-1000 nearly 40 years ago and it was a pleasure to operate.

That's not helping much but of the choices of the leak source you describe one stands out just from experience in life. The second on your list is "or the pressure seal at the housing" In other words pressure equals leaks. That's where I'd start.

YOu can get manuals here

Manuals.us - Search

The I&T manuals are OK, but the manufacturer's shop manual is much better (and usually more expensive).

Steiner has some 445 parts

445 (Minneapolis Moline), Minneapolis Moline on Steiner Tractor Parts brand:minneapolismoline&isort=globalpop&method=and&view=grid

BTW: my MM is the MM BF.
