molly or QA forks for kiot loaders

/ molly or QA forks for kiot loaders #21
HI PA,
with a DK45 I would go with the skidsteer type forks. They are a little more expensive, but have a lot more strenght and they are adjustable.
I sell a lot of the clamp-ons from 1000 to 2000lb capacity on tCK series tractors. On the DK series I always sell the skidsteer mounted. With the loader capacity you have you will be tempted to try to pick-up heavier loads and I don't think the clamp-ons are stable enough to be safe at a ton or more. You will be a lot happier with the true forks with fence.
You should be able to get a good 3500lb set for around $800 or so.
Good Luck

Thanks Kioti Dave, but my OP was almost 2 years ago. Somehow this thread re-emerged. Since that time I have bought some QA forks, 3500lbs and use them all the time. I think I am happier I did not buy the molly forks, as I have used the forks with web straps to move some rather large sized rocks around on my property (for walls and such). I think your advice is dead on and would advise others the same way. I bought my forks for a little under 700 if I remember, not sure of the manufacturere though. Bought them from my dealer as he is destitute:D Poor guy never has anyone in his lot:D
