Montgomery Ward - GREAT prices!

Dad bought my Floor Jack at Montgomery Wards and I still use it often... it was quite a nice present for a teen.

Still have a couple of Sears Catalogs... the nice thing is when designing apartments everything has dimensions and weight... the detail is superior to much of what I find today.

The OPs camera is by today’s standards pitiful at 1.3 megapixel and is selling used for less than $20.

Not only is wards gone, the whole mall was torn down. This was a large 2 story mall.

Plus all of the other "buy here pay here" and "Rent to Own" places that charged two or more times what an item is worth, then tack on that much again in financing... For "one low monthly payment".

I still have a Montgomery Ward 3-wheeler. Remember them? Rear 8hp engine, kinda chopper style? Funny how I thought I was flying with it back then and now it is barely faster than a lawn TRACTOR. (see how I did that?) We also had min-bikes from them.

The landmark Montgomery Wards Tower and distribution center in Oakland... a icon for decades was torn down about 15 years ago... the entire skyscraper (At the time) was razed.
