Along with the Tractor Safety Poster Nina did, She also got Class Champion and Reserve Grand Champion on an RCA radio she restored.

Older sister Alexandra won a Blue with her framed and mirrored "Etched Glass" entry

And younger sister Sammi won several Blues with a Class Champion for latch hook rug and Class Champion for an electronic Strobe light she built.

A talented bunch of good looking girls. I sometimes wonder how many of the kids get involved in 4H nowadays. I still have fond memories (and 17 ribbons) from my days in the 4H; a great experience for the kids.

Steve, I feel sorry for you. With that bunch of pretty girls all under one roof, you are going to have a full time job trying to keep the boys away!

My neighbor had four (very pretty) girls and by the time they were grown he didn't have any hair left. Of course I had two boys and I didn't have any left either.

Congratulations to all of them - I know you are a proud Papa.

4-H is alive and well in many areas. Believe it or not, Maryland has some very active 4-H clubs. The Washington County Agricultural Exposition is now in full swing. I have two girls that are active in it and have each won several Blue ribbons with their baked goods. My youngest has captured Grand Champion for pies in past years and this year for her Peanut Butter cookies. A lot of fun for all to be had. I think that Kent should explain the extent of the Carroll County Fair. It is basically youth oriented. My oldest visited the fair last week as a 4-H Ambassodor and was impressed with what they have done!! Contratulations to your girls and to all of the parents that support your local 4-H clubs. My congratulations to Nina, Alexandra, and Sammi. Some of my fondest memories are of my days in 4-H as a kid. It was good training and taught me good values. It looks like it still does the same today.

Wow, your in serious trouble!!!! Congrats to all the girls. 4-H is something we're going to look into when my son is older. We go to alot of county fairs and see the kids all having good wholesome fun. We may start behind the power curve because up here they all are from farming families but we'll catch up. I can see it now. He'll want a calf, goat, rabbit, etc. He already does. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif We'll just call it The Pumpkin Village Funny Farm.
