More lifting power

Anybody ever put stronger Hydro rams on a FEL to help with the lifting power?

Not a real good idea because they will alos have more bending power and it doesn't seem that there is a lot of extra steel in most FELs.

Yup, something will end up breaking. It'll also slow down the function.

Several things have been done... also, some changed out the cylinder to get higher lift. How much extra are you trying to get? What is your make and model of tractor? I bumped up the pressure on my tractor to get more lift, a few hundred extra...

There are some concerns about the tractor being design to handle the extra lift - extra stress, and what not.

It doesn't have your pressure listed, if you can find out what it should be... some times the factory settings are low. You'll need to get a 3-5000 psi gauge to check what it's set at. If you have a good dealer, you can have him check it too.

Most of todays compact trators have enough loader power to lift the back tires off the ground even when ballasted. Larger cylinders or more power is going to gain absolutly nothing if that is the case.'

And cylinders are pretty expensive just to get a little more lift. Not to mention it will slow down the speed of the loader as well.
