Thats a lot of work! and some great stone. How did it hold up with a big rain?

ForgeBlast,

No big rain since I started last weekend... and the pond is about a foot lower than the headwater!

I hope it holds!

I am sure it will hold, I am just thinking that after a rain driving over the rocks may push them into the mud and some settling will occur.
We did something similar (we needed to control run off of water down a slope) except we put in the 4'' per pipe, and covered it in gravel and then
the first idea was to do exactly what you did with the stone, but then i ended up having a lot of extra stone and so I built a wall over it and put a planting bed in front of it. Its held up over 100 year flood events.

David, that's a great job! I like the way you worked the tractor into as many shots as possible, too! :D
Placing stones that big exactly where you want them can be a task, looks like you got!

That will work ... I bet those girls are tired out from moving all those rocks!!

David,

Project is looking good. I might be wrong, but blueriver may have been referring to the tractors as "girls".

I was in your area this past Saturday, was out on the bike for a few hours.

Happy tractoring!!

Mike,

I rode for the first time since surgery a week or so ago. I think I'm ready to ride further, like to work and back now... Hand still has issues, but will work the clutch...
