Most Delicate Operations?

I can't pick up a dime but as a NOOB proudly picked up the kids' soccer ball with the FEL while mowing, not missing a beat and later neatly deposited it in the smelly trash can before coming in for dinner

I can do the dime thing with a forklift... Could carry pallets 4 high when I worked for a Glad contractor. That's about 14-16ft of height.
Regular forks or push-pull... Never could master the clamp truck though.
Go as fast as you like.... Just don't stop or turn fast.

Drove some 16ft lumber out a 12ft door... without damaging anything.

So I don't get the big head, I tore up a lot of stuff with a forklift too.

I picked up a dime once but couldn't figure what to do with the chunk of concrete.

With the amount of people who own a digital camera that can take a quick mpeg movie, there is no reason that we all can't see the fork lift driver pick up a dime.

Ahhh, but there IS a reason...

If EVERYONE knew how to do it... it would cease to be a "special" skill... and thus the flow of free beer and dollars given up by those who choose not to believe and are willing to back up their lack of faith with their bets would come to an end.

I will not take a video of the skill in action, and I strongly urge others out there with the gift to keep this secret skill to themselves as well, except when the situation dictates otherwise, as has been the tradition to date.

I have never done a dime with a forklift but I can do a quarter with an excavator. Easier with good teeth but can be done with worn as well. I could probably float the excavator with all the beer I have won on this trick, who cares about the money? Your secret is safe with me, threatening to take away the beer sounds like a trick my wife would pull.

There's a video posted yesterday on Gizmodo titled "Undressing a Woman Using a Large Digging Machine". I was impressed with the amount of grapple sway the operator (and the *model*) have to deal with.
