For those of you that tent camp, i just wanted to let y'all in on a great little piece of camping gear. I am definatly getting soft in my old age and comfort just seems to keep edge'ng into most of my activities. No, i don't work for the manufacturer, nor do i own stock, butt( /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif) let's just say it's self explanatory that this "equipment" will make life easier when enjoying the great outdoors! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It's funny you posted that.
When we started camping on our property every other weekend, our first investment was for a Porta-Potty. We put it in it's own enclosed "bathroom" tent along with a solar heated shower bag. I couldn't believe how much more comfortable camp is now. You are absolutely right.

We have run the whole gamit of camping....started out backpacking, once the family arrived, stepped up to a tiny pop-up, then the big pop-up, then the motorhome, and now back to tents. There are plans to do some backpacking once we retire. Definiatly have come full circle, and have tried all kind of "devices" for the privy-5 gal bucket w/seat(worked, but always started leaning one way or the other), then the aluminium folding seat which actually bent. Soooo, when i spotted the "Folding Commode Cchair", i had to try it.....and problem solved! I will darn sure hate to leave it home when we get back into backpacking /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif!

I agree with you. We bought a Porta Potti and put it in the back of the truck for trips to BiG Bend Nat'l Park. Lots of driving with NO bathrooms for ladies. I've taken in the horse trailer for weekend rides out of town. They're very nice.

As a former professional guide, I gotta agree with that one. I've used all kinds of other stuff too though, handfulls of snow at -40 being the worst. In the many thousands of miles that I've hiked, I twice found fallen trees that were forked with two main branches of the trunk and smooth bark. One branch of the trunk was about two feet off the ground, just right to sit on. The other was a little over 3 feet high and set back from the other trunk about 12 inches. This made it possible to scoot back while sitting on the lower trunk and use the upper one as a backrest. All that was needed was a trowel for a well placed little hole below.
