When I first looked at the title of this thread, I immediately thought cover the lawn over with stone :D :D Then you don't have to mow it :D

Well, not me exactly (we have way way too much lawn) but they do blame a lot of the flooding in cities and towns on concrete.

Most people cover what used to be grass over in tarmac for more parking and no mowing in towns. It said on the news the other night this made the houses more valuable.

But, now, when it rains it all washes out of the drive and floods the place as it has no where to drain to

Something like 65% of what used to be grass is now concrete in urban areas.

No Doug that's what they do down in NJ. They take truck loads of crushed stone paint them green and spread them out. Instant grass.

Frugalness----just trying to give ya a little class:cool:

I'll go ahead and apologize for this one up front, under the "no useful contribution to the actual thread topic" category :)

This came to mind when I saw the topic heading:

I have 36 of those machines already! And they do come in the yard from time to time. But they do a number on the lilac bushes!

Here are the troops going through the timber!

Am I detecting that "Anti-New Jersey" prejudice again??? :D

But back to topic: Brian (MtnViewRanch) is always talking about getting a little baby brother tractor for his 7520 4WD. What bothers me is that he considers my 4110 a little small for that purpose!

 36 of them. Man and I complain about three of the little monsters. Ours kindastick with the llamas and leave the pretty vegatation alone. Not that we have much of that anyway.

They do have a talent of getting to where ever they want to be though. No matter how much fence you put up.

Doug,
Take a look out your back window at the yard. Can you even manage to turn a 7520 around back there. Now think of the back yard Brian has. A 4110 would be a small machine. Heck when you put my Tank in the field next to the 100hp JD it looks kinda small too.

Yep... everything is relative. One man's large tractor is another man's toy tractor. That's the irony of my situation here now compared to my future life in New Hampshire. Right now, for certain jobs, the 4110 is too big. In two years time, the 4110 will most likely be too small.
