Hi, I posted a similar question over on the Attachments forum, sorry if you're reading it twice.
I'd like to get a list together of attachments/implements that are reasonable to build, and that would give me some Winter projects.

I have a Bobcat, and a couple of tractors (one of which can use the same attachments as the Bobcat).

I recently made a tipping carry all for the 3pt hitch. And I think my next project will be a middle buster.

Can you guys give me other suggestions? I am a reasonable fabricator, and have lots of tools.

Thanks,

Troy

I find lots of reasons to leave the boom pole on my 3PH, though other folks have no use at all for them.

Not complex or difficult to build, but a toothbar is really useful. IMO MikeD74T

If you have SSQA (Skid Steer Quick Attach) Which you probably do, Then how about fabbing up a nice set of SSQA Pallet forks. They are real handy. It was more than I wanted to tackle, so I bought mine, but that would be a good project, and very useful to own. Or how about a 10 ft boom pole for the SSQA. for lifting lighter things up high? I have not done it, but I have thought about it several times.. That is down in the realm of something I could successfully do.

I do not want to bash any one, that is not my intent,

but I read these headings and basically it says tell me what I need,

what I need and what you need is two different things, and how you work and live,

I made a tree planter a few years ago, great tool if you need it other wise it just sets,
post hole digger great if you need it, if not it sets,

you must do things around your place or work and having some thing would make the job easer, that is what I would build, if it is a drag for the drive way or a set of forks or a digger or a bucket cement mixer, or a power broom, or stump remover, or a log skid, and so on,

how is some one else going to know what would make your life easer or what you would enjoy building,?

Forks are a great and handy tool. I built a set for my skid steer and a set for dads LS Tractor. MIddle buster, blade, rear forks, 2 blade grader, grapple/rake. Just what ever you need for the job. Im building a sweeper now for my landscaping business.

Others on my list are sorting bucket, logging winch, drop hammer, rake/ grapple, manure tine bucket, and mulch layer.

Other than a front end loader bucket, forks are my most frequently used attachment. If you can install them on the rear or front you will have more lifting capacity (rear) or more reach (front). A quick attach is essential if you have more than one front end loader attachment. I also use my backhoe all the time to lift and position heavy objects. I can be more precise with it than the loader.

You need to make a trailer mover tool for moving just about everything. Make sure you use a old reciever from a truck. This will allow you to change ball sizes, flat farm trailer ,and pintle type hook ups. The upright where your top link hooks should have a 2&5/16 '' ball on it for moving goosenecks.
