We live in an insulated living quarters in a metal building. Looks like we will hopefully get our house built by the end of the year.

My question is, does anybody have any suggestions on how to keep these living quarters (879 sq feet) from getting moldy from not running the A/C? I certainly can't afford to run the air in here with nobody living in it. My bill this month was $470, apparently I have some air leaks. I'll have to pull the skin off the building to address them.

My rent house was vacant only a month or so and I had the a/c set on 80, and I noticed doors started swelling and were hard to open.

It would seem that the moisture load in the rooms would be less without people in there. how about a fairly large dehumidifier?
