No offense taken, my technique on motocross tracks is not the best and my bike is really set up for rocky trail running so the suspension is set a bit softer for the intial stroke and my tires are not the right compound or design for the dusty hard pack that was there that day.

I have been riding for 25 years

16 bikes acctually in that line up, you can't see 2 of them on the end. The line up is every bike that either me or my Dad ever owned except 2 that he sold in the 70's. No, no water buffalo's in the collection (yes I know what they are and have seen a few). However I do have a couple of 3 cylinder bikes.

Sometimes I want more comfort when I haul my bike to the trail head

Bought my Dad a Harley for his birthday one year. I am not really a Harley fan, don't hate them just don't have any interest in owning one, even though I did for a short period of time. Local paper heard about it and published this.

That's awesome. My friend had one of those Kaw 500's and one time he let me ride it and didn't tell me he had the throttle setup to stay where it is when you let go. Resulted in a series of wheelies, but could have killed me. I almost killed him. :D

I'm going to save the picture of your bikes in case I get a bad time from the little lady about having 5 of them. I've added a 1982 Honda CBX project bike to this group. Since retiring and moving from the city, I get much more riding time.

That buddy of mine that is the motocross madman has about 10 vintage Jap bikes. I always thought he was crazy for saving those old things. never thought the Japanese bikes could ever be collectible. but I guess they are.

I had an old Honda 305 twin, but it was cannibalized into an off road bike. My neighbor had a complete stock, very early 305 (scrambler I think) one of the first jap MC's sold in this country. That thing must be worth something now.

As far as Harley's, you either love them or hate them. I don't hate them, but never wanted to own til recently. Both my brothers and my sister have/has Harley's.
My sister has 3 of them in her garage, One that I've been borrowing lately is a big 80+ CI custom straight pipe, it's got skulls with their tongue's out and tombstones. It's hilarious and not my clean cut style but man it's fun to drive, with that big slob sound.

It's fun to pull up to the family in the minivan, they have to roll up the windows and tell the kids don't look at that man. of course the kids will make some funny face.

JB.

I had a Kawasaki 500 when I was a teenager. I bragged at a party that it would pull the front wheel off the ground at 40 mph. Guy called me a liar, so I said hop on. When I got to 40, I said "Is it at 40?" He looked and agreed. Then I rolled off the throttle briefly then gave it full throttle, pulling the wheel off the ground about a foot. Needless to say he needed to change his drawers..

Its too bad the H1's didn't do much else very good other than go really fast in a straight line.

It is true. At any speed over 70 it would really wobble. But at age 18 going fast in a straight line was enough.
