I would like to thank everyone who has shared their personal insight with regards to what the Mountain Home, AR is like for retirement consideration. Your comments really provide some "food for thought" as I would probably enjoy the area, but I am not sure my spouse would be overly excited with the distance from a reasonably good size city and excessive humidity. Better to know up front, rather than regret it after the fact. While doing some further research, I came accross another forum site (hope it is ok to post the link) which provides considerable comment input from others on specific areas of the country and would recommend that you check it out if you are considering a move somewhere.
