Trying to help a friend put his bale monitor in his new tractor. It's a Vermeer monitor and a LS 7040 cabbed tractor. He wants to put it on the right hand door rail. He came up with an idea of welding a custom bracket to some black pipe that's the same outside diameter as the hand rail. Then clamping it to the hand rail with hydraulic hose frame clamps. But we are having trouble finding the clamps. OD of pipe is 1.25 inches. Does anybody know where to get them? Does anybody have a better idea?

These are roll cage brackets he could weld this on instead of that other pipe.

Why not just buy a monitor bracket? Most tractors come with at least one or they are an option.

Double split shaft collars weld one half to the new bracket then you can clamp the bracket to the hand rail.

I've tried to get him to call the LS or the Vermeer dealer and see what they had to no avail. He's determined to build it himself. Cheaper. Found something similar to what foreman Texas posted. Actually used his search title. He likes the idea. I'll try to keep this posted.

Do a google search for 1.25" or 1 1/4" "tube clamp" you should find all types of ideas

There might be some ideas on how to make one here.
