Mounting Kit for 8A Backhoe

I just purchased a 8A backhoe to put on my 1070 I'm not sure what all is needed for mounting this hoe on my tractor. The man I bought it from said all the parts are there but I don't think so. I have an operators manual for the hoe it tells how to connect & disconnect from tractor but not what I need mounted to the tractor. All I found was one mention of looking at your mounting kit instructions but I can't find anything on this. Anyone know what all is needed & how to mount to tractor. The tractor is a 4WD with an 80 loader all ready mounted.

You should probably register (for free) at www.jdparts.com and learn to use it, it will show all the mounting hardware and give you an idea of where it goes. A dealer may be able to find you the mounting instructions as well.

It's a piece of "ice blade" from a DOT road grader. Up here, the snow and ice tends to build up and pack onto the surface of the highway forming a slippery hardpan.

DOT uses (a whole bunch during the course of the winter) those "tooth" cutting ice/snow blades on road graders and snow plows which creates a grooved surface on the road and helps to maintain (and improve) traction for cars/trucks.

They had a worn down chunk in their "bone yard" to be recycled; and they just gave it to me. :thumbsup: Little bit of work with a cutting torch and some spray paint...

Thanks. It works very well on my road and parking areas. Once it snows - usually 3rd week in October - I won't see gravel again until April.

So, that ice blade is the cat's jammies for the nearly 7 months that I've moving snow.
