Wondering if you guys could post pictures of how you rigged addtional lights to your tractors... I have seen a few comments and a few pictures, just looking for some ideas on the 1850... I am cool with the wiring and relays.

And what about the fire extinguisher bolted on the engine. who thought of that bad idea....

I mounted them below the ROPS in front. This protects them from branches in the woods and allows me to adjust them while in the seat. It also lets me see over the bucket. With the original mounts, the bucket would block the lights unless it was very low. It also leaves room for a cup holder where the left light used to be.

You could just about cut and paste Bob's picture for most folks... they mount the lights under the canopy by drilling holes in the canopy in front of the ROPS tube. Some folks just move the existing lights form the factory location up there and some folks add two more. I opted for adding two more. The advantage of having the lights up high under the canopy is that they will shine over the implement onto the ground in front of you. In the factory location, the implement frequently blocks the light right where you need it most.

Here's a link to a post I did about the accessory bar that I added under the front of my canopy forward of the ROPS bar. There are lots of pictures. I opted for the accessory bar to mount things to instead of drilling up through the canopy because I didn't want any bolt heads sticking up through the canopy.

Here's a link to a video of me plowing snow at night taken from the operator's perspective. It really gives a good example of how the lighting works great up under the rops.

I started with replacing the rear light since it was easier at the time. i went to wall marts and got two 55watt halogen lights. I then attached them to magnets and made the wire long enough to put them anywhere on the back. currently they are on the outside edges of the engine cowling. I picked up the connectors at walmart as well and attached it to the connector where the old light attached to. So all i have to do is turn on the same switch. I plan on doing the same to the front lights within the next couple of weeks. heres a picture with the lights on.

I have replaced the original lights (25 watt incandescent) with 55 Watt Halogens. There is a tremendous difference. I figure it's about 4 times the Lumens. I got mine from Northern and they were about $10 each.

I mounted my lightgs under th ecanopy and moved the fire ext. to the rear of the canopy to get it off the hood.
Also note the square hole in th hood above the fuel filler; I'm going to make a flap for it, so I don't have to lift the hood just to refuel.
