I remember a few years ago hunting opening weekend for gun season (the Saturday before Thanksgiving here in WI) and it was -2 degrees out! Yes, I sat in an open stand. Yes, I was cold. I did see deer, just none worth removing my glove to take a shot at.

That exactly what my cousins from the Twin Cities said last week when they were here. 40 degrees was t-shirt and shorts weather. Crap with that!

My deer stand is my vacation rental. Doesn't get used during the winter so just slide open the back door or window
