Moving MossFlower to new Woods...

Moves suck, takes a while to reorient. Then you start seeing what you want to do with the place and it all starts to get exciting.
Hopefully you are getting to the exciting part soon!

Sorry for the lag guys.

One Month ago Today the Movers arrived.

Things are better today.

From the 30,000' level we are moved in, remodel is funded for a while at least, and progress is slowly being made.

I've hired a draftsman guy to draw up "As Built" plans so we can modify them and submit for permits. I've gotten an outrageous quote from the Pool company and I will be looking for competition.

I will start back tracking and posting pictures to catch us up to today shortly!

Thanks in advance for reading and enjoying this thread.

Be well,
David

Great thread and great adventure. Glad things are going well. What did you bring with you in the way of ag equipment?
Looking forward to pics, commentary and details of the pool thing.

The biggest story of Moving Day 9/19 was that like an idiot I tried to load the brand new 5.7 hour ZTR onto the liftgate of the empty moving truck and of course, somehow flipped it backwards off the liftgate and busted both of us up pretty good.

This is what the ZTR looked like.

Proof that once a n00b, always a n00b... Stupidest thing I may ever have done.

The good news is that God clearly was not done with me and scratches, bruises, and a couple cracked ribs. Most of which is healed now.

My ZTR has been repaired and I need to go get it.

But this is the logical starting point for that day...

Be well,
David

After the Movers on Saturday 10/19, from 10/20-10/25 (sale close date) was a mad cap scramble and I will leave out the gory details similar to not posting the pictures of my damaged body).

Suffice it to say by 10/21 I got the Tractor to the property. Over the next days I took numerous loads in my truck/car and friends trucks. I gave away a ton of crap (my soon to be ex refused to come get her stuff out of the unfinished 2nd floor), I filled a 20yd dumpster, and I managed to close the sale

Almost all of my attachments were on my neighbors flatbed and got delivered a week or two later.

Sept 30, I sold the Big Rental house in Fredericksburg, and FINALLY on 10/1 I closed on the sale of my new MossFlower Woods home.

Be well,
David

Dominon Energy came through last week or a bit before and they trenched in new power for the entire subdivision as well as the Comcast conduit. I cannot wait for REAL internet again!!! OMG... Satellite Internet sucks & I'm stuck with 2 MiFi from Verizon at the moment.

The Dominion Crew were professional and VERY cool. I felt listened to and respected & part of the solution.

Also as you may be able to see, the pole barn shed is packed. But my car, or even the F350 fit fully under cover...

Be well,
David

Looking good, drove that way a few times and have seen the progress on the subdivision (well at least the entrance). Looks like the roads are coming along nicely.

Too bad you're stuck with Dominion, I use to have them at my old place (the road across 17 from Poplar). Grew up with NOVEC and have it at my current house, prefer them a lot more.
Be lucky for the internet, we are still fighting to get it brought back to where I live, unfortunately the county invested the money they got for rural internet development into a company that's turning out to be a joke.
