I have used my rear blade to move the snow. Works pretty well for snow under 6 inch. However after a while there is a build up. I'm wondering how to move it.

I have a bx2670 with FEL and the rear blade.

I may be able to push it back with the rear blade, but it would push the 3pth up. I don't have any extra weight to keep it down. Would this cause any damage to the 3pth as push it backwards and the hitch rides up?

Or, would it be better to use the FEL and move it?

I use my FEL and this year my new quick attach blade to push banks back. I am talking about 6 foot or so banks built up by my plow truck.

If the snow is still loose use the front end loader rather than the rear blade.

FEL to push back banks.
Have you consider front plow attachment, front plow keep banks push back first shouldn't be problem.

The snow is now compacted. That is what made me think that I might cause damage if I try the rear blade on the 3pth.

Thomas. I would also love a front mounted snow blower. Seems to me that would be the best / quickest method out there… Rear blade to quickly clear the snow out of the driveway, and then snowblower down one side and move it far far far away lol. But.. I have to work with the equipment I have.

Thanks for the help guys :)

Try not to push with a rear blade...lots of bad (expensive) things can happen.

Hate to say it, but this is to be avoided in the first place. I try never to move stuff more often then I have to. Time to bring in the bug guns. Some three yard loader should do nicely.

Yes, front mount blowers are the cats meow! But many don't blow far enough, and don't work well if you are trying to blow into the wind.

Unless you have some serious equipment and horsepower, I would not try and move an existing pile with a blower. You are liable to break something!
