I am in need of some advice from the vast TBN knowledge base! I finish mow 3.5 acres of the 11 I have. I crrently have a 60" deck for my Kubota B2320. It mows great and gets it done in short order, but the problem is weight. When it rains, which it does a lot here, (Southwest Louisiana) the Kubota ruts up the yard unless it has a week or so to dry out. Th problem is, I often need to mow sooner than that. I also have an old Snapper 30" rear engine mower that I use when its too wet for the tractor. The problem with the snapper is it takes FOREVER to get it all mowed and it is on its last leg. I put a new engine on it a while back, but it's just too small and to worn out. So here is what I need, a small mower in the 48 inch range that can handle somewhat rough yard, very slight hills, several ditches and soft ground. Oh, and cheap would be nice, but I'm not going to kid myself! So, any ideas?
