I use the moweraxle wheels in winter. I take the MMM on and off a lot in summer while using other implements. The cars go out of the garage so I have work space. The anti-scalp wheels are set slightly high and I never rotate them to their perpendicular position. I have a dolly made of 1/2" ply and 16 2" swivel casters. When the deck is dropped to the dolly, the anti-scalps don't touch the ground and the deck rolls around easily on the dolly.
I have an electric hoist suspended from a reinforced truss. A short piece of heavy chain is looped around the axle of the front anti-scalp roller, and both chain ends hooked to the hoist cable. It lifts easily for deck cleaning, blade removal (to sharpen), or to swap out moweraxles. The front anti-scalp roller axle is plenty strong and the deck is well balanced when suspended from it.
