Mower Incompatible with Backhoe? - Massey GC17XX

I managed to scoot my tractor using the dipper and boom without any issues. That's how I moved along a trench I dug. Never had to get off and turn the seat to reposition once I got situated.

Some people replace the seat entirely with a skid loader seat that the back folds down flat. Then they just sit in the top of that. My friend did that to his GC1720 and thinks it should have just come that way.

My issue was regarding the loader bucket leaking down a lot after a year of ownership. I was told it was all considered one unit for the 5y 2000h warranty but the loader and backhoe are considered attachments and only have 2 YEARS warranty.

I see-- did you get the bucket issue fixed?

By the way, what model backhoe do you have?

CB65.


No. It's not fixed. I just deal with it. It doesn't leak down that much. I checked it with a tape measure and it drops 11 inches in an hour. This is the curl circuit.

My loader is a DL95. That's what has the leak down.

Thanks; Ohio Ag's unit on the lot has the new BH2720 backhoe so I'll have to find out if that's compatible with the mower.
They have 2 actually-- and they're the only dealer that has anything in stock. The other Massey dealers I spoke to said September or worse. The other brands said they don't know when they'll get more. Yikes.

This very new video shows both attached but at the 4:35 minute mark, the dealer comments that the backhoe must be removed for use. I wonder if it can really be used at the same time like your GC1720 + CB65

I don't see why it can't. There's literally no reason. Hopefully someone else chimes in. I do it with my CB65 no issue... There shouldn't be any difference as the backhoe probably uses the same subframe and hoses. It's just an attachment.

Yeah I think that's probably right. Here's another dealer who says at the 2:30 mark that it can be used together.
