Mowing Mower Options?

I love my 62D MMM. Cuts very well and easy to move around the house and cut close to trees. Easy to take off and put back on the 2320.

Scott,
Great points above. I suppose it all comes down to personal preference. Perhaps another thing to consider is if mowing will be your primary tractor use. If mowing is primary, changing out the deck won't be done as often or cause regular hassle. For me on the coffee farm, low CG is more important than cut quality or change out.

Haven't I ordered parts for my '84 245 from you? I miss the old brown brick, but I may someday go toll free (1800).

Aloha,

Hi Fred,

Thanks for the info (and Thanks to all the others who replied as well). THe flail mower thread has been very helpful and that's the way I have decided to go.

Fred, I do still work at ipd (Volvo car parts). I made a mistake when I set up my account. I used Google "AutoFill" and it inserted my e-mail adress instead of my name, so that's how my e-mail ended up as my user name. Good luck with your hunt for an 1800, they are finally becoming somewhat collectible, so the price has gone up on them considerabley, but there are still good deals to be found. Be on the look out for bad cases of rust, they aren't as bad as some UK sports cars, but they do have thier issues.

In the past I have toyed with the idea of getting a RFM, but went with the flail sofar and will work with that for a while. I still kept the option open to get a MMM or an RFM too, but have not for the new unit.
Your welcome Scott, BTW, Good luck with your flail. BTW, I went and picked up a used 72" 7 Iron MMM and will use the for the routine lawn cutting and the flail for the brush clearig out non native species of flora as per my locale regulations

I think I saw that you bought one of the Betst EF-175's Flails just recently. BETST is abuot a 2 hour drive away from me and I am interested in one. Are you happy with yours so far considering the price? I'll be using it with my new ( to me) JD 3520.

TIA!
