Mower question

   / Mower question #21
I know it's probably comparing apples and kumquats, since I don't "brush hog," but my five foot brush hog finishing mower on my 19 PTO hp tractor has never had any problem cutting anything at the speeds I can run on the ground here. If you have smooth enough ground so that you could go fast over it when cutting, you might have to go slower than you would like to, but I often wish I went with the 6 foot mower and could slow down even more for comfort. I cut the little "back field" here three times a year (cheaped down from four) and that grass is in the knee to waist high range when I cut it and I've never had a problem..

Yep, no real comparison. Bushhogs take more power, and are much heavier and longer so weight comes into play too.
