No one has mentioned one of the key differences between MMM and RFM. MMM is typically side discharge. RFM is rear discharge. In tall/heavy/damp grass conditons side discharge builds windrows of grass that you need to deal with. PITA. Rear discharge is much nicer as you lay your cut grass down right behind you, not building up on the row beside you.

The next logical ques. would be, are all rfm equiped with high lift blades? I guess that would be a ques. for the person I'd be buying from.

That's correct...high lift blades are available, but not standard equipment. My two Befco mowers (both bought used) just happened to come with them.
