I just did 5 acres of exactly what you are talking about. I mowed down the corn stalks then tried a couple methods of cleaning it up. I had a skid loader with a rock hound to use but with the corn stalks it filled up with a lot of dirt rocks and stalks. I would have been there for a week and wore the rock hound out. Ended up using a landscape rake and just kept making piles then took a skid loader cleaned up the piles and did it again. Smoothed it out decently and got rid of a lot of the rocks but it is by no means rock free. I'm still handpicking but it's getting better.
