I have a Landpride 84" finish mower and used it for 4 years with no problems at all. The discharge is all open in the rear so clippings I assume were to be dispersed evenly out the rear. But now I am seeing what seems like grass clipping accumulating on the right of discharge. And then I get to the end of the lawn and turn around the discharge adds to what was discharged previously.

Is that normal behavior for finish mowers. This is the only one I ever had or seen working...

The grass is fairly thick and I cut maybe 2-3" off the top. The grass may be a little damp when I cut. The mower is set to about 3" give or take a little bit. I think I could crank it up higher by an inch, maybe, and it might let the clippings hide in the grass better.

It just looks like crap being that the lawn is a nice flat 2-1/2 acre piece right by the road.

Any thoughts. Maybe I should just be glad the lawn is growing in August in TN.

My rear discharge is also biased to one side, but not enough to bother to clean up. (Because the middle blade can't spin two directions at once and thus matches one of the side blades there's no real cure.) Note that the amount you are clipping and the potential dampness likely make it worse. A finish-type flail mower would cure the problem.

Make sure the deck is cleaned off from underneath. I am in Ohio and it has been a non stop growing season where I am at as well. I have mowed with a 72" Buhler Farm-King RFM for the last sixteen years and this season I am having the same problems you describe. This has been the toughest mowing season with it so far for me. I sometimes stop 3 or more times while I am mowing to clean the underside of the deck. I am mowing pasture grass every other week which does get fairly tall and thick by then with the rainy year we are having. Keep it cleaned off underneath and blades sharp and that is about the best you can do when it is wet.

Blades good and sharp,as said clean under the deck, try slower speed when grass damp and try not to take full cut.
