For just over an acre I would be looking mainly at the BX line and a B2xxx at the most. I mow 3 acres with a B2320 and I wouldn't want anything larger.

I have a B3200 with a 60" MMM and it does mow very well. The quality of cut is very good and if you have turf tires I don't think it will cause much damage in a dry yard. I have the r4 tires and a couple of wet areas an it will leave marks. The quality of cut rivals all of my neighbors. The $2000 is hard to stomach but it does make the tractor more maneuverable IMO. It is much easier to get on and off comparable to the bx series.
